BBLB Artists’ Talk

2008, with Harry Meadley, mixed media

Commentary

For a segment in Channel 4’s Big Brother’s Little Brother, Harry Meadley and I were invited by Leeds College of Art to deliver a crash course in performance art to former contestant Brian Belo. In the college’s lecture theatre, we re-enacted a sequence of seminal performance art pieces, including JMW Turner’s preparation for the painting ‘Snowstorm’, Joseph Beuys’s ‘How to Explain Pictures to a Dead Hare’ and Chris Burden’s ‘Shoot’.
